Who we are
Rural Nurture Initiative (RNI) is a social impact organization advancing community-centered rural development across Africa. We drive sustainable change through grassroots empowerment, evidence-based research, and inclusive policy advocacy. Working hand-in-hand with communities, we empower people, build local capacity, and nurture resilient rural ecosystems. Our work spans climate-smart agriculture, food security, economic empowerment, health, water sustainability, gender equity, and youth development, creating lasting pathways for rural prosperity. With active operations in Nigeria, Ghana, and the Republic of Benin, RNI leverages strategic partnerships to address the complex, interconnected challenges facing rural communities. Since our establishment in 2019, we have continued to expand our reach and impact across Africa.
Rural people,
Rural places....
we are rural lovers!!!
"We believe that rural communities aren't just beneficiaries of development—they are the architects shaping it."
To nurture an Africa where rural communities have the agency, resources, and leadership to become epicenters of innovation and prosperity.
To catalyze sustainable rural transformation through evidence-based interventions and community-led innovation, building resilient communities with the partnerships and tools to shape their own futures.
We believe that lasting rural transformation requires addressing four interconnected pillars
When rural communities lead their own development process
When communities have fair access to knowledge, support, and resources
When local institutions and systems are robust and responsive
When policies and practices enable sustainable rural development
